Today marks the completion of a significant Troutbitten project. After a full year in development, the Troutbitten Shop has launched. For sure, this is the conclusion of one phase and the beginning of another, as I’ll continue to add designs and products for the shop in the coming seasons.
The Troutbitten Shop starts with tees, hoodies, hats, stickers and canvas prints. These items feature logos and original designs, artfully printed on high end materials. I took no shortcuts.
Troutbitten has grown from the seeds of your support. Troutbitten readers have made all of this possible, and I’m thankful to be part of a community of anglers who live a life on the water.
I invite you to look around the shop a bit. I’m proud of what is here, and I’m excited for the future.
Here’s a quick rundown of the shop parts . . .
The Designs
Navigate over to the designs section of the shop in the top menu. There you’ll find a short description and history for each featured design: Classic Logo, Stack Logo, Circle, Tree, Quotes, Horizon Logo, Trout, Word Cloud, Letterman.
Much credit goes to Josh Darling of Wilds Media, who was the lead graphics designer on this Troutbitten project. Josh has an amazing eye and a creatively fishy mind. I love it.

The Stuff
The tees, hoodies and long sleeved tees are all printed on uni-sex garments in adult sizes. I have some great designs lined up for kids’ shirts in the near future. Women’s tees and more will follow soon.
Links to the exact garments used are in the descriptions. You may click through to learn more about fit, sizing and material before making your purchase.
I started with three hat designs. And more will follow. The trout patch hats are one of my favorite things in the shop.
I think you’ll like the stickers too. It took some trial and error to find a manufacturer and a finish on the stickers that really pops and is also durable. Most of us don’t keep our fishing truck parked in the garage for long — we want it out by the river. And wherever you choose to put a Troutbitten sticker, it’s a good look.
I had a number of requests to buy the trout patches as well, so they are included in the sticker section. Let’s bring back 1980, and sew a trout patch on our gear.
The canvas prints are a gorgeous addition to any room, wherever you hang them. They are high quality, stretched-canvas prints with vivid colors. I’m pleased to feature the photography of Josh Darling, Austin Dando, Bill Dell, Sammy Chang, Chris Kehres and a few of my own photos. I have a lot more canvases lined up for the future, including a Quotes series, similar to the Quotes design that is featured on tees.
The Gear
The gear section of the Troutbitten Shop is broken into eight sections: Rods, Reels, Wading, Fly Tying, Lines/Leaders/Rigging, Tools & Tackle, Winter Gear, and Books.
This is a large and growing collection of my favorite gear. Many of the recommended products include links to Troutbitten articles for more background and more reasons why I prefer all of this stuff in the first place.
The Gear section is an affiliate shop. Meaning, by following the links and buying any of the products in the Troutbitten Gear section, Troutbitten earns a commission for the referral, but your price stays the same. Even if you click through to buy tippet but end up buying a pair of hiking boots or a television, Troutbitten earns that commission. So thank you for your support.
This is all the gear I’ve used extensively and believe in. This is what I fish with, season after season.

Integration
Without getting too far into the weeds, let me explain that the shop side and the article side of Troutbitten currently run on separate WordPress installations.
In many ways, the two are already integrated. However, this winter I will combine both sides with a full rebuild of the website. That’s another very large project. But building this shop has laid the framework for the next generation of the Troutbitten site. And I’m excited about that too.
Thank You
There are many more products in the shop than I’ve shown here. And I invite you to take a look around. Also, if there’s something you’d like me to add, let me know.
Again, thanks to everyone who helped get this project to launch, from the gracious patience of my wife to the technical advice of Bill Dell, the design work of Josh Darling, the proofreading of Austin Dando, the mock-up photography of Rene Witzke and many more. Most importantly, thanks to you, the readers of Troutbitten for your amazing support over the years.
Fish hard, friends.

Thanks, Mike!
Just in time for Christmas !! I already sent my wife the link!! With my recommendations of what I want of course!!!
Well, doubtful in time for Christmas, honestly. Processing and shipping time may not have it arrive quite in time for Santa. This isn’t Amazon Prime! Ha.
Lmao. Damnit man. I wanted to rip that open Christmas morning. Geeze stuck with wearing my TCO hat now.
Luv it … i especially like the logo on the clothing … not so commercial versus introspective … which is how i think and feel about trout fishing in america ( and my alaska home waters.)
Very cool! Im making a list. Also, Merry Christmas and a happy hard fishing new year!
Mike.
Same to you, Mike.
Cheers.

Well said.
Fantastic Dom! Are ya gettin a booth at the Edison show?
Nah. I’m kind of a recluse, and I’d rather go fishing. Ha. I’m sure I’ll do it one of these years.
I hear ya. I just had to throw that out there.
Awesome. I’ll have one of each
Yup. You got it.
Wow! Congratulations. Wishing you well now and always
Thank you, Ahmed. Same to you.
