** NOTE ** Video Appears Below.
I met Josh Darling about seven years ago, and I knew right away he was someone I wanted to work with. Josh owns Wilds Media, and he designed all the logo work for Troutbitten. That was our first project together. A year or so later, we started filming videos for the Troutbitten YouTube channel. The River Doesn’t Owe You Anything was our first short film, and I still think it perfectly captured the essence of Troutbitten, then and now.
VIDEO: Troutbitten | The River Doesn’t Owe You Anything
Since then, Josh and I have worked on fifty videos together. His photography appears in countless articles here on Troubitten, and Josh is one of the voices behind the Troutbitten Podcast. For me, Josh’s work is the finest in this industry. He has the eye of an artist and the sensibility of an angler who knows the craft. I’ve also learned an inestimable amount from Josh by picking his brain about filming, photography and editing. Only through Josh’s generosity and advice am I able to film myself and produce the Troutbitten Fish and Film series on YouTube.
So I’ve known Josh as a fisherman and a friend. Now I’m excited to watch him tell his own stories. Honestly, through his videos on the Wilds Media channel, I’m looking forward to learning more about him as a father of five and a husband, to see more of his life on the family farm and about his deep commitment to hunting and other outdoor pursuits.
Because Josh, quite simply, is a natural.
Here’s his first video . . .
