On March 11, join the Troutbitten crew from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at New Trail Brewing Company in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

We’re proud to announce a collaboration we’ve been working on for a while. This is a fly tying event and general hangout with the guys from the Troutbitten Podcast. Included in your ticket price is the New Trail X Troutbitten Collaboration T-shirt ahead of its public release. And your first beer is on the house at New Trail.

Here’s the Plan

Bring your fly tying vise, tools and some thread spools.  I (Dom) will tie the Half Pint Streamer and the Bread-n-Butter nymph. We’ll walk through the steps and the specifics of each pattern together, as you tie along and watch on the big screen. Hooks, materials and Troutbitten stickers are included. Prizes will be drawn throughout the event.

If you aren’t a fly tyer, you’re more than welcome to attend without fly tying tools in hand.

More than anything, we’re all looking forward to meeting you, putting faces to names and talking shop. So, after the tying session, let’s share a beer and swap fishing stories.

We’ll see you at the brewery. (Photo by Bill Dell)

Podcast: Strategies for Fly Fishing In the Wind — S5, Ep10

Forget the forecast. Just fish. Wind challenges our cast and changes our drifts more than any other element. It forces us to adapt our presentations, and it makes some of our favorite styles impossible. But there is always a way to beat it. There’s always a way to make things work. And no matter how rough the wind, there are strategies not just for fighting through it, but for fishing well and catching trout . . .

  1. Hey guys, I would love to attend this but am out west in Utah and won’t be able to make it. I’m really hoping you’ll record and share on your YouTube channel or on the Podcast. Anyway, thanks for all the excellent content you put out!

    • Brett,

I am with you, down in southwestern VA. I hope to be able to see some footage from the event and wish I could be there. Thankful that I have a date on the calendar this summer to fish with Dom to keep me going.

  3. Even though I don’t tie flies it sounds like a cool event. I’ve been a fan of New Trail for years and was thinking of starting to tie. The t shirt alone is worth the trip. Looking forward to it.
